What is the best thing about being your age?

Wisdom, experience, perspectives.

What hardships have you endured that you feel have made you stronger?

Rejection, changes, adaptability.

What's your favorite thing you have checked off your bucket list?

Love my kids, love my family, try new things, travel…keep moving forward.

What is your idea of perfect happiness?

Being surrounded by the people I love dearly, family, friends. Being able to help the next person and pay it forward. To have the privilege to be able support others in the community When they need it.

What is your most treasured possession?

My loved ones.

What do you consider your greatest achievement?

Study; to learn; to raise my kids; to see my parents grow old; to being able to speak about what I believe; to raise awareness for what I feel is right; to be able to learn about so many things; to meet so many wonderful diverse people.

I love stories, and I love being able to hear stories...so different and so amazing. It's like living many lives at the same time when I live through their stories.

If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?

Weight and its fluctuation.

What is a trait you are most proud of?

I think I have a variety of talents and things I love to do. Although it might make me look unfocused and dispersed, I enjoy the complexity of life and the changes life brings . I have been able to embrace different trades and trainings, like architecture, engineering, multimedia-design, art, storytelling, broadcasting, activism, teaching, and I feel that all of them are and intrinsic part of me that need to be explored and satisfied.

What is your greatest extravagance?

I love to challenge and dare styles and preconditions sometimes. I love knowledge, I love progress, I love the act of learning and exploring. That is the times considered extravagant, I suppose.

What advice would you give your younger self?

Stop worrying about what others think of you and about pleasing othes. Listen closely to your inner voice. She's trying to guide you!

What is your motto or favorite quote?

"Education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today." - Malcolm X

“Those who look for the laws of Nature as a support for their new works collaborate with the creator.” -Antonio Gaudi

"An investment in knowledge pays the best interest." - Benjamin Franklin

Words of wisdom to younger women
